Requirements

  • Diploma in Medical Assistant from College of Medical Assistant, Ministry of Health, recognised by the Government AND registered with the Malaysian Medical Assistant Board OR equivalent qualification. 
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, nd written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and willingness to work long hours and keep up with current professional updates.
  • A reliable team player and at the same time able to accomplish tasks independently. 
  • Able to converse and write in English and Bahasa Melayu. 
  • Pleasant personality and good interpersonal skill. 
  • Disciplined, good ethics (adab) and good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Open minded and positive attitude. 
  • High level of motivation and disciplined. 
  • Possess high degree of integrity.
  • Possessed Lembaga Pembantu Perubatan Malaysia and latest Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
  • Applicants should be a Malaysian citizen.

 
LANGUAGE QUALIFICATION

All candidates must have obtained Credits (at least C) in Bahasa Malaysia and English (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.

Responsibilities

Clinical Duties;

  • Taking vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate. temperature, respiratory rate)
  • Preparing patients for examinations, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patient comfort.  
  • Administering injections or medications as prescribed.
  • Performing basic lab tests and preparing samples for further analysis.
  • Assisting with medical procedures like wound care or minor surgeries.
  • Maintaining patient records, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and confidential. 

Administrative Duties:
  • Scheduling appointments and managing calendars for healthcare providers.
  • Managing patient intake, including gathering personal and insurance information.
  • Handling patient communications, answering phones, and responding to inquiries.
  • Billing and coding for insurance claims and patient services.
  • Managing medical supplies, ensuring that inventory is stocked and ordering when necessary. 

Support to Medical Team:
  • Assisting doctors and nurses during patient consultations, exams, and tratments.
  • Communicating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
