Requirements

• Bachelor Degree (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering recognised by the Government, from any local institutions of higher learning or equivalent qualification.
• Possess 1 -2 years of relevant experiences in a similar role is preferred.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC system, power distribution, lighting, and emergency systems.
• Knowledge of hospital-specific systems and regulatory standards is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with hospital staff and contractors.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Be able to converse and write in English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Pleasant personality and good interpersonal skill.
• Mature, proactive and dynamic individual with ability to adapt to changes and must be able to work under pressure.
• Creative, versatile, meticulous and have an eye for details
• Open minded, positive attitude and self-motivated
• A team player who is able to work independently in fast pace environment
• Applicants should be a Malaysian citizen.            

LANGUAGE QUALIFICATION

All candidates must have obtained:

• Credit (at least C) for Bahasa Melayu and English (including oral examination) in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.  
• At least IELTS Band 6/ Band 4 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET). Candidate without any of these qualifications will be required to sit for the IIUM English Language Proficiency Test.

Responsibilities

1. Monitor and manage the maintenance of mechanical and electrical works.
2. Ensure compliance with hospital regulations and standards for mechanical and electrical systems.
3. Coordinate and supervise preventive and overseeing additional works and infrastructure projects within the hospital.
4. Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing additional works and infrastructure projects within the hospital.
5. Work with contractors and vendors to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to required standards.
6. Monitor project progress, provide updates, and address any issued that arise during project implementation.
