Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Medical of Veterinary or any relevant field recognised by the Government, from any local institutions of higher learning or equivalent qualification.
  
• Registered under Seksyen 12(1) Akta Doktor Veterinar 1974 (Akta 147) accordance with equivalent qualification at Schedule two part 1.
  
• Have high level of motivation, self-discipline, pleasant personality and good interpersonal skill.
• Able to work in a team, multitask, flexible, committed and dedicated to work.
• Open minded and positive attitude.
• Possess high degree of integrity.
• Applicants should be a Malaysian citizen.

LANGUAGE QUALIFICATION :

All candidates must have obtained:

• Credit (at least C) in Bahasa Malaysia and English (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government and;
• At least Band 3 at Malaysian University English Test (MUET)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring the health and welfare of the animal research laboratory and endangered wildlife and commercial species at PLANETIIUM.
• Responsible for producing and reviewing the Animal Facility policies and regulations at IIUM. 
• Responsible for monitoring animal-related facilities in terms of safety, cleanliness, planning and SOP that comply with the Animal Ethics Act.
• Responsible for preparing and approving the Animal Facility logbook.
• Responsible for providing the emergency and escape plan related to the zoonotic outbreak.
• Responsible in producing the statistical analysis related to animal disease prevalence by annually.
• Responsible in monitoring the implementation and service components of the Animal Facility to ensure compliance with the authorised accreditation bodies.
• Responsible in maintaining the Animal Facility assets and supplies.
