DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY AND COUNSELING

Counseling

Academic Staff Requirements

• Candidates must possess at least a Ph.D in Education (Counseling) from University recognized by the Government

 

Area of Specialization :

• Experienced counselor with a Ph.D in Education (Counseling);
• The candidate must be registered and licensed by Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM);
• Diploma in Education would be an added advantage;
• Proficiency in English is a must. Proficiency in Arabic will be an added advantage;
• At least 3 years of working experiences in the counseling field;
• Preferably candidates who are actively involved in any NGOs and / or keen to assist students in community work;
• The position will involve teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students;
• The candidates must have a strong interest in research and publication;
• Candidates should be preferably aged less than 45 years.
  

 

Educational Psychology

Academic Staff Requirements

• Candidates must possess at least a Ph.D in Education (Educational Psychology) or Ph.D in Psychology from University recognized by the Government

 

Area of Specialization :

• Candidates with a background in testing and assessment, psychometric, and quantitative research will be an added advantage;
  
• Diploma in Education would be an added advantage;
  
• Proficiency in English is a must. Proficiency in Arabic will be an added advantage;
• Candidates with experience in teaching practice will be an added advantage;
• The position will involve teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students;
• Committed to conducting research and publishing research papers;
• Willing to involved in students' activities and dynamic in the teaching and learning process;
• At least 3 years of working experiences in the education Field;
• Candidates should be preferably aged less than 45 years.
  

 

LANGUAGE QUALIFICATION

Candidate must have obtained :-

1.      Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English Language (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government. 

2.      IELTS Band 6 / MUET Band 4. Candidate without any of these qualification will be required to sit for the IIUM English Language Proficiency Test. 

  Note: Starting salary of RM5,855.00 to RM12,445.00 depending on work experience.
