Requirements

• Possess a recognized Degree in Accountancy/Finance and/or professional qualification(s) (e.g., MIA, Certified Internal Auditor and other equivalent professional qualifications).
• Preferably with 5-10 years as a Senior Manager position in internal audit field or external audit field or finance. Managerial level experience in a related role with experience in finance, business processes and people engagement and management, with proven abilities in taking responsibility for executing concurrently on a portfolio or high-quality deliverables to key stakeholders (example includes Audit Committee, Board of Directors & the ministry) according to strict deadline.
• With hands-on experience in using Audit Management Software and data analytics i.e., ACL /IDEA /TeamMate /Diligent.
• Well versed with the International Professional Practices Framework issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors Global.
• Strong interpersonal skills in engaging with people and different levels of management. 
• Personal attributes should include strong organizational and analytical skills, sound professional judgment, and problem- solving capabilities. Possess high level of integrity and positive attitude, and a team player.
• Advanced in using MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc.
• Willing to travel across IIUM campuses.
• Applicants should be Malaysian citizen.

LANGUAGE QUALIFICATION

All candidates must have obtained:

• Credits (at least C) for Bahasa Malaysia and English (including oral examination) in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government; AND
• At least Band 3 at Malaysian University English Test (MUET).

Responsibilities

• Develop a risk-based annual audit strategic plan for submission to the Audit Committee.
• Plan, communicate, lead, execute, monitor & control and report on status of audit assignments in accordance with established audit scope, approach, methodology and conduct Risk Assessment (RA) of auditable entities.
• Review business processes to ascertain the adequacy, efficiency and effectiveness of risk management, governance and internal control processes.
• Provide value-add inputs, particularly related to data driven audit, compliance and fraud detection to further enhance the effectiveness of the audit findings presented and recommendation for improvement.
• Report to the Audit Committee and Management on audit findings and recommendations so that they can implement the appropriate corrective actions plan.
• Coach the audit team in continuous enhancement of audit effectiveness using data analytics, quality assurance improvements programmes and continuous monitoring and auditing.
