Requirements

 (i) CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS AT LEAST A BACHELOR DEGREE IN THE FOLLOWING AREA:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (BA or B Ed.) in Bahasa Melayu, Linguistics, Literature or other related specialisations, or

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in unrelated areas but with at least a certificate in language teaching in the above specialisations and a minimum of 3 years experience of teaching Bahasa Melayu;

• Minimum CGPA of 3.0 and above OR the equivalent degree based on JPA recognition;

• Candidates are required to sit for the IIUM Bahasa Melayu Proficiency Test;

• Preferably candidates with Band 4 MUET.

 

(ii) LANGUAGE QUALIFICATION

All candidates must have obtained Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English Language (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level OR equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
