Requirements


  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering recognised by the Government, from any local institutions of higher learning or equivalent qualification.
  • Possess at least three (3) years working experience as Facilities Engineer or similar role.
  • Good skill in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, BIMS, CMMS and Autocad.
  • Good command in spoken and written English and Bahasa Melayu.
  • Able to work under pressure and within tight deadline.
  • Pleasant personality and good interpersonal skill.
  • Mature, proactive and dynamic individual with ability to adapt to changes.
  • Creative, versatile, meticulous and have an eye for details.
  • Open minded, positive attitude and self-motivated.
  • A team player who is able to work independently in fast pace environment.
  • Applicants should be Malaysian citizen.            

LANGUAGE QUALIFICATION

All candidates must have obtained Credit (at least C) in Bahasa Malaysia and English (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government a
nd MUET Band 3 and above.

Note: Shortlisted applicants who are currently employees of the Malaysia Government or Statutory Bodies in Malaysia will be required to submit the hard copy of applications through the respective Heads of Department together with the confidential report and up to date service record. 

Responsibilities

1) Plan and develop FM project brief and scope of works based on end-user’s requirements, standard design guidelines and procedures.
2) Manage a range of facility infrastructure needs – such as HVAC, electrical engineering, EHS, energy, maintenance.
3) Perform facility inspection to ensure works shall be carried out in accordance to the specification, budget, timeline and quality workmanship.
4) Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, BMS system, fire/life safety, and other systems
5) Prepare reports on the progress of projects and tasks assigned.
6) Attend meetings related to the projects and tasks assigned.
7) Monitor and manage the subordinates to ensure works are carried out in accordance to the job assignment and timeline.
8) Advise on any FM related matters.
9) Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required;
10) Advise and monitor the University’s building structures and infrastructure in order to maintain the safety, in compliance with the University’s policies and local authorities’ requirements.
