Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree (Hons) in Nursing or relevant field recognised by the Government, from any local institutions of higher learning or equivalent qualification, AND registered with the Malaysia Nursing Board.
  • Possess active Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
  • Five (5) years’ experience in clinical nursing area/government hospital is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in voice and video technologies.
  • Be able to converse and write in English and Malay.
  • Vast experience in the related field.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, multi-tasking and able to work under pressure.
  • Able to work in a team, committed and dedicated to work.
  • Open minded and positive attitude.
  • High level of motivation and disciplined.
  • Possess high degree of integrity.
  • Practising Muslim and consistent in covering aurah.
  • Applicants should be Malaysian citizens.


LANGUAGE QUALIFICATION

All candidates must have obtained 
Credits (at least C) in Bahasa Malaysia 
and English (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.

Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities


      1.       ADMINISTRATION

 

i)      Plans and prepare the students clinical placement roster based on the requirement by the Malaysian Nursing Board/Head of Department (i.e in charge based on year/semester clinical placement, to be assigned by Head, CSC)

ii)    To prepare a weekly report and updating student files and student logbooks as per assigned.

iii)   Involve the services to be offered under Department/Kulliyyah (some may in collaboration with other departments) i.e: IIUM Nursing Care Service (INCS) activities.

iv)  Assist Nurse manager (U44) the purchasing/procurement process especially in terms of equipment, furniture, consumable and disposable stock for the Clinical Skills Centre

v)    Answerable to Head, CSC & Deputy Dean (Academic and Industrial Linkages), Kulliyyah of Nursing

vi)   Responsible in assisting the nurse manager of the Clinical Skills Centre for maintaining equipment, furniture, consumable and disposable stock

vii)  Prepares monthly and yearly statistical data for the Clinical Skills Centre

 

    2.        TEACHING AND LEARNING ACTIVITIES

 

i)   Preparing and assisting the set up or the use of simulation ward and OSPE hall, Clinical Skills Centre to the lecturers, post graduate students and other staff.

ii)    Conduct the student’s orientation to the facilities and Clinical Skills Centre (i.e updated and disseminate rules and regulations).

iii)   Work closely with CNI with regards to the clinical placement.

iv)   Assists lecturers during the classes and practical examination by guiding the students in Clinical Skills.

v)    Attends or conduct relevant course, workshop, conferences or seminars to enhance knowledge/skills/expertise and to be applies into the services (i.e Infection prevention and control programme, preceptorship training).

vi)   Involves actively in programme organized by Kulliyyah such as health campaign, seminar and workshop.

 

    3.        SUPERVISION
 
 

i)       Responsible for bedside teaching and supervision of students in clinical practice (skill demonstration & clinical placement).

ii)      Other official tasks assigned from time to time e.g secretariat for OSPE examination and OSH committee.
