Requirements

 (i) CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS AT LEAST A BACHELOR DEGREE IN THE FOLLOWING AREA:
 

1.   English Language

•   Minimum of a degree (BA or B Ed.) in English Language, Linguistics, Literature, TESL, TESOL, TEFL or other related specialisations, or

•   Minimum of a degree in unrelated areas but with at least a certificate in language teaching in the above specialisations and a minimum of 3 years experience of teaching English language, or the equivalent degree based on JPA recognition
    

•  Minimum CGPA of 3.0 and above or equivalence 

•  Must obtain IELTS Band 8 / CEFR C2 or equivalence.  Candidates without any of these qualifications will be required to sit for the IIUM English  Language Proficiency Test.
  
  

  (ii) LANGUAGE QUALIFICATION

All candidates must have obtained Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English Language (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level OR equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
