Requirements

DEPARTMENT OF QUR'AN AND SUNNAH:-

(i) MALAYSIAN REQUIREMENTS:

1.   PhD in Hadith Studies (MSc or BSc in Hadith Studies shall be considered as extra weightage);
2.   Currently teaching in English OR at least obtained band 6.5 in TOEFL OR equivalent credential
3.   Minimum 2 years teaching experience; 
4.   Possess strong turath (classical) study background; contemporary knowledge (Western, Middle East & Malay World);
5.   Strong in Classical and contemporary backgrounds like Jonathan Brown, Hamzah Yusuf etc. 
6.   Must have prior commitment to the Kulliyyah and less commitment outside
 

(ii) INTERNATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

1.   PhD in Hadith Studies (Minimum of an Associate Professor);
2.   Excellent in Arabic & English; able to teach both Undergraduate & Postgraduate courses offered in English and Arabic
3.   Minimum 5 years teaching experience; 
4.   Possess strong turath (classical) study background; contemporary knowledge (Western, Middle East & Malay World);
5.   Strong in Classical and contemporary backgrounds like Jonathan Brown, Hamzah Yusuf etc.  
6.   Must have prior commitment to the Kulliyyah and less commitment outside
 

LANGUAGE QUALIFICATIONS 

Candidate must have obtained Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and good in English Proficiency (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government. For International applicants, document to support previous education in English or IELTS or equivalent result is required.
